Direct and Indirect Speech, Conditional If

Direct and Indirect Speech
a.       Direct Speech adalah kalimat yang diucapkan langsung dari si pembicara. Kalimat tersebut tidak diubah atau ditambah.
Example:
(+) She said to me, “You can go”
(+) He said to me, “You have to come with me”
(+) He said, “I will be back soon”
(+) He said, "I have a present for you in my bag"
(+) She asked me, "Why do you come late"
(-) Susi told Joni, “Don’t wait for me
(-) Mom said to my sister, “Don’t go alone in the middle of the night”
(-) He ordered me, "Don't bring a bag"
(-) They said, “We will not permit this”
(-) She said to me, ”Don’t go anywhere”

(?) He asked me, “How will you go there?”
(?) The teacher asked her, “Have you finish your homework?”
(?) I asked John, “Does you want to come with us?”
(?) My mother asked me, “Where are you last night?”
(?) He asked me, "Who is she?"
b.      Indirect Speech adalah kalimat yang berasal dari kalimat langsung yang diceritakan kembali dalam bentuk yang lain.
Example:
(+) She told me that I could go
(+)He told me that I had to go with him
(+) He said that he would be back soon
(+) He said that he had a present for me in his bag
(+) She asked me why I came late
(-) Susi told Joni not to wait for her
(-) Mom asked to my sister not to go alone in the middle of the night
(-) He ordered me to didn't bring a bag
(-) They said that they would not permit that
(-) She told me don’t go anywhere
(?) He asked me how I would go there
(?) The teacher asked her if he had finished her homework
(?) I told John whether he wanted to come with us
(?) My mother asked me where was I that night.
(?) He asked me who she was

Conditional If Type 1,2, & 3
Conditional sentence (kalimat pengandaian)  adalah kalimat yang mengandaikan suatu keinginan, harapan, rencana, dan Iain-lain yang masih bisa terjadi [possible), sesuatu yang tak terpenuhi/angan-angan (unreal), dan tak ter- wujud (impossible).
Example:
Conditional Sentence type 1
-          If we burn paper, it becomes ash
-          If our team win the match, we will be very happy
Conditional Sentence type 2
-          If I passed the company entrance test, I would treat you nasi goring
-          If I were you, I would apply for that scholarship
Conditional Sentence type 3
-          If I had had enough time, I would have come to your wedding party
-          If I hadn’t gone to the mountain, I wouldn’t have had an accident
